"Invisible" is a series of artworks that delve into the hidden aspects of the self that cause isolation. Through the exploration of my invisible physical disabilities and my adult-diagnosed autism, each piece represents a different aspect of myself that makes me feel detached and separate. However, the artwork itself is an attempt to ground me and connect back to the world. Using a variety of mediums including ink, pencil, and oil, each piece conveys a unique aspect of my invisible self. The series is a way for me to communicate to the world about myself but also a way to feel a part of a community by being observed and finally seen since these parts are often invisible. Overall, "Invisible" is a deeply personal series that seeks to shed light on the experiences of individuals living with invisible disabilities and neurodivergence. The series aims to create a space for dialogue and understanding while also exploring the beauty and complexity of the invisible self.
